Edward McPherson

Edward McPherson is the author of four books, including Look Out: The Delight and Danger of Taking the Long View, from which this piece is excerpted. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Pushcart Prize, among other awards, and teaches creative writing at Washington University in St. Louis.
